Assessment of the existing system

When: Before a modernisation, a migration or a takeover.

A complete review: what runs, where, with which dependencies, risks and costs. It ends with a written action plan, setting out the options and their consequences.

  • Review of backups, monitoring, releases and access.
  • Analysis of software contracts and data governance.
  • Prioritised action plan.

Rebuild and containerisation

When: An old application that is hard to maintain or to change.

The rebuild is done one module at a time, without service interruption: each component is isolated, containerised, tested and then replaced. For a new business application, the Kore platform avoids redeveloping accounts, permissions and audit.

Migrations: datacenter, cloud, virtualisation, data

When: Ageing on-premises infrastructure, moving away from VMware, a change of hosting provider.

Inventory of the existing system, choice of target (public cloud, European hosting provider or your own datacenter), then migration in batches with rollback planned. Costs and GDPR are considered from the outset.

What is delivered

  • The new infrastructure in service and tested.
  • Data migrated and verified.
  • Operating procedures for the new infrastructure.

Tools: Nutanix, Proxmox, VMware, KVM; AWS, GCP, Scaleway, OVHcloud, Infomaniak; kFleet to run a KVM target. For data migrations, a tool is being explored: kPivot.

When: Manual releases, partial monitoring, no tested recovery plan.

Production releases become routine: automated deployment, centralised monitoring, verified backups, tested recovery plan. You make the most of your hosting providers without depending on a managed service provider.

Is Koraisoft an IT services firm or a managed service provider?

No. Koraisoft does not provide staff on time-and-materials contracts: every engagement has an objective and an end. It does not host your systems: the software is installed on your servers. It does not resell licences: technologies are chosen to fit your needs, with no commercial interest in recommending a brand. Nor does it provide permanent managed services: the aim is for your team to run what has been put in place on its own, with occasional support still available.

Is the work done remotely or on site?

Both. Most engagements are carried out remotely; on-site work is possible in the Alpes-Maritimes.

Do I have to use Koraisoft software?

No. It is proposed when it meets the need. An engagement can rely entirely on the tools you already use.

What happens at the end of an engagement?

Your team has the documentation, procedures and training needed to run what has been put in place on its own. Occasional support remains available.

Koraisoft is a small company: what is the risk for my business?

Everything delivered is documented and relies on widely used technologies: another professional can take it over. Independent specialists are brought in when the scope requires it.

Does Koraisoft use its own software?

Yes. kForge is used to develop and release Koraisoft software, kFleet to run its infrastructure, korridor to protect its access. Requests sent from this site are recorded in Kore.
